Can you think of what the most dangerous jobs in the world might be? Some of them are obvious but others you may not be able to come up with at first. Actually, you don’t have to take the time to try to think of any of them. Here are the 10 most dangerous jobs in the world.

Bodyguard

This one may or may not have popped into your head when thinking about dangerous jobs but it certainly deserves to be here. If you are guarding someone then there is a reason for that. And you have to protect that person by any means necessary.

Coast Guard Search And Rescue

This is a noble calling but a dangerous one. The workers of the coast guard search and rescue help those who really need help in spite of all the danger that they themselves will face.

Bomb Squad

Now this is a dangerous job. A member of the bomb squad is dealing with bomb threats and actual bombs. Who would take on a job like this is a good question but luckily for everyone else they do take on this extremely hazardous job.

Armored Car Guard

Maybe armored cars aren’t attacked quite as often as the movies might make it seem but they are still attractive to anyone looking to score a quick buck. If the car has to be armored then you know the people guarding it are probably going to have to be ready to see some action too.

Police

You will often get a strange reaction when you mention the police. Those who have benefitted from their help love them while many others feel like the police are just out to enforce rules, like speed limits, that they don’t like. Still, the members of the police force all have a dangerous and heroic job.

Firefighter

So the building is on fire and you’re running into it instead of out of it? This is dangerous and this is what firefighters do. This is a job that is not for the faint of heart.

Miner

News stories in recent years have reminded the world just how dangerous it is to work in mines. Mines are filled with health hazards and cave-ins happen. This job may be less common than it once was but those who do it still stare danger in the face daily.

Truck Driver

Being a truck driver is more dangerous than you might think. You drive long hours over great distances and face hazardous road conditions, including bad drivers who don’t realize how difficult truck driving is.

Logger

Being a logger is incredibly unsafe. It always has been and it looks like it will continue to be. Maybe that is why probably you don’t run across that many loggers in your daily life. Or you don’t live in a logging community.
